The screenwriting industry has trained writers to obsess over surface-level elements — sharper dialogue, elegant scene transitions, better opening images. These matter only when the underlying dramatic architecture is sound. We have read hundreds of scripts with beautiful sentences that collapse in Act Two. Coverage identifies symptoms. We perform structural surgery.
We do not import Western templates onto Global South or Indigenous stories. We identify the dramatic engine already present in your cultural material, then strengthen it for international production standards. We do not make your story Western. We make your story inevitable.
Cultural specificity is not a problem to solve — it is an asset to activate. A story grounded in Yoruba cosmology, Jamaican dancehall politics, or Filipino family hierarchy does not need to be flattened for international audiences. It needs its dramatic engine tuned so the cultural material can do its work.

Intake
The client provides a complete script or treatment, project history, context (target market, budget tier, attached talent), and specific concerns. BPS conducts a material review, assigns a development lead, confirms timeline and investment, and executes a standard NDA. Deliverable: engagement letter with timeline, scope, and investment confirmation.
DIAGNOSIS
Does the project have a viable dramatic engine? Is the cultural material strong and specific? We cannot develop what is not there — we need raw material with promise. Based on the diagnosis, we scope development work — Narrative Translation, Script Doctoring, or hybrid engagement. We do not take on every project
DEVELOPMENT
Development work scoped in the diagnosis phase. Regular check-ins (weekly or bi-weekly). Milestone deliverables for client review. Iterative revision based on client feedback within development scope. The client receives their developed asset — revised beat sheet, rewritten script, or completed polish.
DELIVERY
The client receives the final developed asset, complete documentation package, slate consideration pathway (if the project meets BPS quality threshold), and ongoing partnership options if applicable. Our goal: the client holds a fundamentally different asset than they submitted — not a better version, a different object entirely.
